WHAT’S TRENDING THIS WEEK

Federal, State, and Local officials from across the country continue to see benefits from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) as it provides critical relief for their communities.

This past week, the IRS distributed over $15 billion in Child Tax Credit payments. Additionally, ARP funding and provisions continue to allow state leaders from both parties to build back better. In Virginia, the governor announced $700 million in funding to expand access to broadband across the state. …

Hey, y’all.

For the past two and a half weeks, I’ve been on an epic trip, visiting family and friends from North Carolina to Wyoming. Almost everywhere I’ve stopped, one thing has come up: critical race theory.

Much ink has been spilled about the topic. This week, we’ll look at the Facebook posts about critical race theory and determine whether or not the conversation is happening amongst users or publishers.

But first, did you miss our latest…

Federal, State, and Local officials across the country continue to see benefits from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) as it provides critical relief for their communities.

This week, the IRS deposited its first round of Child Tax Credits funded by the American Rescue Plan into families’ bank accounts. Officials praised the CTC with many noting the millions of their constituents who would benefit as it puts America on the path to reducing child poverty by half.

But benefits from the ARP don’t stop at the CTC, as this week the Health and Human Services Department announced that $398 Million in…

Earlier this year, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell falsely tried to paint the American Rescue Plan’s (ARP) $350 billion for state and local aid as a “Blue State Bailout.” However, “Red” states and localities across the country have been using ARP funds that their Republican representatives voted against to revitalize their states.

Just last week, McConnell highlighted $4 billion in ARP funding going toward his home state of Kentucky, telling constituents that “you’re going to get a lot more money.” …

Federal, State, and Local Officials from both parties across the country see continued benefit from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) for providing benefits for critical relief for their communities.

Just this week, Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell highlighted $4 billion in funding going toward his home state of Kentucky, telling constituents that “you’re going to get a lot more money”.

McConnell is correct, as a PEW report this week showed that for 37 states ARP aid ranged from about 5% to more than 20% of annual spending, providing “critical breathing room that was rare in the slimmed-down budgets that…

Federal, State, and Local Officials across the country continue to praise the American Rescue Plan (ARP) for providing critical relief for their communities.

This week, lawmakers praised the rollout of the Federal Communications Commission’s Emergency Connectivity Fund established under the ARP that will provide support to schools and libraries to help them meet the off-campus connectivity needs of students in areas where commercial broadband is unavailable. Lawmakers also continued to thank the ARP for funding the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) $8 billion award to U.S airports across the country to keep workers employed, construction projects going…

Hey, y’all.

Ever see a tweet that stops you in your tracks? Here’s one that got me:

This week, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released a statement on recent bipartisan infrastructure bill negotiations, attempting to dictate both the Senate and House floor calendars by demanding that the bipartisan package and the broader families and climate package not be moved in tandem.

However, one look at statements made by McConnell and other Republican Senators just a month ago show anything but good faith. Previous statements have shown they’ve not only known since the beginning of negotiations that a Democratic reconciliation bill was coming, but that Democrats could “certainly do that” just 2 months ago. …

Federal, State, and Local Officials across the country continue to praise the American Rescue Plan (ARP) for providing critical relief for their communities.

Last week U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced it would award $8 billion to U.S airports across the country to keep workers employed, construction projects going, and help U.S. airports recover from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Legislators also touted the release of the Child Tax Credit (CTC) online portal for the incoming Child Tax Credit set to rollout July 15th, as well as tools to determine eligibility and data from the White…
