Trump’s failing pandemic response continues to put Pennsylvania health & jobs at risk

  • Total state coronavirus cases: 205,852; deaths: 8,707.
  • Trump has held nine in person rallies with crowds as large as 4,000 practicing little to no social distancing and few masks since June in the state.
  • Rallies that occurred in the cities of Middletown, Old Forge, and Latrobe were all followed by post-event increases in local coronavirus cases in each area above the pre-event trend.
  • The state unemployment rate is 8.1 percent, compared to 5.2 percent when Trump took office.
  • 511,800 fewer Pennsylvanians were employed in September compared with February — a 6.4 percent decline.
  • 18,000 more Pennsylvanians are uninsured now than when Trump took office.
  • 858,000 Pennsylvanians would lose their health coverage and 5.3 million with preexisting conditions would have protections stripped away if the Trump backed lawsuit to repeal the ACA succeeds.
