After the passage of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) in 2021, the Biden administration continues to make significant investments in infrastructure and jobs in state and local communities across the country.

Thanks to IIJA funding, this past January the Biden administration announced:

  • $100 million to help lower heating and cooling bills for low income families
  • $27 billion funded by the IIJA to fix 15,000 bridges across the nation
  • $4.7 billion for cleaning up abandoned oil and gas wells
  • $2.5 billion of IIJA funding towards the Department of Energy’s “Building a Better Grid” initiative to modernize and strengthen grid networks
  • $3 billion towards forest fire prevention
